Row4Ukraine

My Story

Led by rowing World Record holder Lee Spencer, a team of British and Ukrainian wounded, injured and sick (WIS) service personnel, will be rowing the Atlantic Ocean to raise funds for the Invictus Games Foundation (IGF).

The team will consist of Lee himself, Ivan Gavrylko, Semen Lagun (Sam), Derman Ihor Olehovych (Igor) and Andy Merry

Row4Ukraine’s mission is:

  • To raise awareness of the human cost of the war in Ukraine borne by Ukrainian service personnel.
  • To celebrate the unity and comradeship between Ukrainian and British WIS.
  • To raise much needed funds for Ukrainian service personnel rehabilitation.

Row4Ukraine has partnered with The Royal Marines Charity (RMA-TRMC) who are helping with logistics and financial oversight. Every penny raise will go directly to the INVICTUS Games Foundation (IGF), ringfenced for Ukrainian WIS to enable rehabilitation through sport and adventure and RMA-TRMC split 90/10 in favour of the IGF.
